Building on her extensive experience with the classics Moya embraces wholly contemporary, disruptive and radical impulses. 

Most recently Moya adapted, directed and produced (a) Winter’s Tale for her The Ecstasy. Audiences were spellbound and the entire run sold out within 24 hours. Moya won the 2025 Jessie Richardson award for Outstanding Direction- Large Theatre for her critically acclaimed production of The Dark Lady at Bard on the Beach. Her production of An Ideal Husband for United Players enjoyed critical and audience acclaim as well as a completely sold run and her acclaimed Hedda Gabler for Coalmine Theatre in Toronto was the top selling production in Coalmine Theatre’s history- the entire 4 week run was sold out before opening night. Also recent: The Very Book Indeed by Paul Budra for UBC, also in association with Bard on the Beach, University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University in celebration of the 400 year anniversary of Shakespeare’s First Folio. 

Moya has an MFA in directing from the University of British Columbia. She has an active creative practice with upcoming productions throughout 2026 and beyond.
